The transparent PET lid is intended for use together with our cardboard salad boxes with a capacity of 500 ml and 750 ml. One and the same lid fits both sizes — this simplifies stock management and reduces the number of packaging SKUs in your business. The set “salad box + lid” provides a professional packaging solution for restaurants, salad bars, poke bowl venues, soup bars and all food service businesses that offer dishes for take-away or food delivery.

The main purpose of the lid is to ensure food visibility and presentable display — the clear transparent material allows customers to see the composition of the dishes in the refrigerated case or display cabinet without opening the box. In addition, the lid protects the food during transport, keeps it fresh and prevents leaks and contamination during take-away and food delivery. The tight closing ensures that dishes with dressing and liquid dishes do not spill during transport.

The lid is made from PET plastic (polyethylene terephthalate, recycling code 1) — one of the most widely used and best-recyclable plastic materials in the world. Although it is not biodegradable like the cardboard salad box, the physical properties of PET (transparency, rigidity, durability) make it possible, in combination with the cardboard box, to offer a balanced solution — the main food-contact surface is biodegradable, and the lid is recyclable.
