The transparent RPET lid is intended for use together with our largest cardboard salad box with a capacity of 1300 ml. The set “salad box + RPET lid” provides a professional packaging solution for restaurants, salad bars, poke bowl venues and all food service businesses that want to offer larger portions for take-away, delivery or display in a showcase.

The main purpose of the lid is to ensure food visibility and presentable display — the clear transparent material allows customers to see the composition of the dishes in the refrigerated case or display cabinet without opening the box. In addition, the lid protects the food during transport, keeps it fresh and prevents leaks and contamination during take-away and food delivery. The higher dome-shaped design (compared to a flat lid) provides extra space for larger and taller portions, such as full salads, bowls with high toppings, and ramen with side ingredients.

What is RPET?

RPET (Recycled PET) is a plastic material made from the fibres of recycled PET bottles and packaging. Technically, RPET is identical to virgin PET — the same transparency, rigidity, durability and food safety — but its production does not require new petroleum-based raw material. The result: a significantly lower carbon footprint (up to 79% lower compared to the production of virgin PET), fewer extraction- and energy-intensive processes, and full recyclability in a closed-loop cycle.

RPET is certified for food safety (EFSA, FDA) and meets the same standards as virgin PET. The material carries recycling code 1 (the same as virgin PET) and can be recycled in the regular PET container recycling stream.
